Excitement is in the air! The playoffs for the first AirMech Arena League qualifier are scheduled to take place this Saturday, December 20th. Eight teams will be fighting for a potential Championship Finals birth.  We recently caught up with Darkmaximus2 from the #1 seeded Team Error to ask about his team, his experiences playing AirMech Arena, and more.

AMA Team: When did you start gaming?

Darkmaximus2:  I’ve been playing games for as long as I can remember! One of the first games I remember playing as a kid was GoldenEye 007 on the N64 with my brothers. We even had our own little tournament at one point. The prize for the winner was $5.

AMA Team: What brought you into AirMech Arena?

Darkmaximus2:  The RTS aspect of the game. Don’t get me wrong, the MOBA part of the game is huge and is just as important. That’s what makes the game so unique. I just love the competitive nature of RTS games and AirMech Arena is the next level for me.

AMA Team: How did you meet your partner in the AirMech Arena League competition?

Darkmaximus2: I first met my partner D3AD IYOYO through a friend after being invited to a private 3v3 match. I ended up playing against the some of the top players on AirMech Arena. D3AD IYOYO, who I didn’t know at the time, was on the enemy team. We didn’t start off on the best of terms and we became rivals. Recently, we decided to put our differences aside and party up. We ended up winning 80 games in a row that day .

AMA Team: What kind of player are you? Support? Defensive/Offensive? Something else?

Darkmaximus2: I mostly play offensive with hit and run tactics. I’m just as good playing defensively.

AMA Team: What team do you think will be your biggest competition?

Darkmaximus2: Its hard to say exactly but it’s ether Prophecy or Ultimate.

Best of luck to Darkmaximus2 and the rest of the players competing in the playoffs this weekend.  Who do you think will be our Qualifier #1 winner? Stay tuned and make sure to like us on Facebook to stay up to date with the latest AirMech Arena League news!
